Please welcome the newest member of the Parham Library Staff – Amanda Hartman. Amanda comes to us having recently graduated with a Master’s Degree from the prestigious Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Hartman also attended DePauw University in Greencastle, IN where she received her BA in Art History and minored in Classical Civilization and Religious Studies. In her previous positions, Amanda worked as a graphic/web designer for DePauw University and was also the web administrator for a small board game store in Indiana.
Among the many responsibilities in her new position, Amanda will be developing and implementing digital library services including the latest Web 2.0 technologies to meet the needs of our user community. Amanda happily joins J. Sargeant Reynolds in a position that combines her interests as well as provides various other opportunities to learn and serve the community.
While not at work, Amanda enjoys arts, trivia, crosswords and music. She looks forward to exploring Richmond’s museums, history, and restaurants and happily welcomes any suggestions for things to see and do. Please drop by the Parham Campus library and say hi to Amanda.
